Whew, I just got a bannermen named after the mother of dragons, I did not invite her she just came in I just appeared this morning. The game is still new so I don't see the actual value of these alliances yet as I tried to learn what advantages I could get. One of the things that is still not present in the game is how do you communicate with your alliances. Once that is being added or if I found out an alternative, I will surely place it in this blog.

I was checking my game and I went out to the map and noticed a red arrow pointing towards my village. I got curios why and then I check by clicking on my village, I was actually got scouted. The crow did not inform me about it.
The problem of this game is this, you would not know who is currently scouting you, so you have to trace the origin of the line, took me around 15 minutes. And then I found out, the dude was 3 level higher than I am, so I have no chance of winning against him, what I did instead, I exhausted my resources to building troops, upgraded the most expensive building available and I did not claim my rewards yet so that when he check he would find nothing which will discourage him to still. And indeed he was discouraged. Hehehe.

Building structures is just the same as any strategic game. Buildings can be upgraded for enhancements for different purpose or reason. The game only provides you with 1 builder, if you need an additional builder, it is either you pay through your coins or you wait for a reward to be given but the builder given to you only last for a day once that is due, you are down to 1 builder again. The game for now provides you a 9-minute free build as shown in the picture below. This means that if the time remaining to finish the build is 9 minutes or below, you can just finish the build by clicking on the free icon.

Yup, every strategic has an upgrade and a certain level that you need to research for it. For the GOT : Conquest, that can be done in the Maester's Tower. You can research for enhancement of your Military, Defense, Logistics and Economy and there are tons to be upgraded and I like it because it comes in a tree form were in you can see the road map of what you can upgrade next. Yes there are a lot of items to be upgraded but you can add a maester. The thing though about this game is if you add a worker they can only last for a day or 2 so you should be wise when to use them like in your day were in it is really your free time else you will not be able to optimize them. You can pay of course to add one using real money by buying coins, or use the coins you have accumulated through rewards or some times free maester is part of the reward it self.

   You have 2 basic resources, wheat and wood. You can gather wheat/food from the farm and wood from the sawmill. They are boxed in red in the pic on the right. I will detail the other resources on the next blog entry as those were needed to equip you as the lord of the house.
   Tip: For now, there are so many rewards that gives free wood and food so you need not really to invest much. But in the long run after the beta release is over I suggest to put more emphasis on wood. Build more sawmills since wood is needed in both building troops and structures. Food is only for troops and certain upgrades. I have the same number of sawmills and farm but my food is 20% more than my wood. So wood is much in demand for this game.

    Building an Army is easy, you can go to the barracks to build swordsmen, and wow as you go higher you can train the Unsullied here. You can go to the range to train archers, stable for knights and horse riders like the Dothrakis and in the workshop for siege weapons. It is just plane and easy. Just click there and once you are in, you can chose which units to train / build and should your current level is not yet ready it will tell you the basic requirements you need to build. For now you can train 71 units at once in each structure and each unit costs hay or hay and wood. The structures are pretty lined up in your city so it is not difficult wondering around. You can see them from the screenshot on the side boxed in red.

     Tyrion Lannister is you guide. I hope you like the guy because you will see his face a lot during your start up, and during you play. You will see a small icon on the lower left while you play with his face because suggestions on what to do next comes from him. He work like your "hand of the king".
    He is very helpful. You need not to do extensive research since he will guide all through out the game. He will teach you how to do this and how to do that. He is also the one assigned on what challenge or adventure you need to accomplish for the day. So for you to effective play the game, just follow Tyrion.
